Since on March 18, a new collection point for donations has been set up
to Room 9 of the Toulouse Exhibition Center. This new place is managed by Emmaus for donations to Ukrainians displaced in Toulouse as well as by the association “Free Ukraine Toulouse” for donations to Ukraine.
A great fundraiser
This is in Hall 9 of the Parc des Expositions that donations are linked and stored. A real organization for the two associations which have created three poles there according to the nature of the donation: Food / Hygiene / Medical.
On site, there are about ten volunteers who take care of sorting and storing the donations. To note, that a very specific list of products is requested, clothes, for example, are not accepted.
“We do not accept all donations. For food, we favor those from companies that allow us to follow up on the ‘quality’ of products. This is also the case for clothing, which we do not accept. neither is it convenient to sort and clean and we need to meet the needs as soon as possible.”
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, these are already three semi-trailer trucks laden with medical equipment and food that have been sent in Ukraine by “Free Ukraine Toulouse”. Please note that this new collection point is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What are the “most important” gifts?
The Town Hall of Toulouse underlined the fact that medical donations are paramount in this collection. Compression cushions, tourniquets or even survival kits, the Town Hall offers a complete list donations accepted with an order of priority. To this list, are added sleeping bags or even baby equipment such as sofas, baby bottles or even bottle warmers which are essential on site in these times of war…
