From Fonbeauzard, a town north of Toulouse, the two brothers supplied the drug throughout the Haute-Garonne department. Between January and this Monday, fourteen people were apprehended by the gendarmes of the research brigade of the Toulouse-Saint-Michel company.
The survey starts at the very beginning of the calendar year. On the basis of anonymous information, the soldiers carry out checks. They quickly realize that a major drug distribution network is organized from the north of Haute-Garonne. A traffic that would bring in the sum of €100,000 per month according to the investigations.
A business-like organization
In light of this initial information, the Toulouse prosecutor’s office entrusted the case to an investigating judge. And for several weeks, the investigators of the Saint-Michel research brigade and the interministerial research group (GIR) of Occitanie multiply listening and spinning to decipher the entire network. It is organized in a pyramid fashion. At its head, two brothers in their thirties command about ten men and women. These little hands are responsible for transporting the product from Spain, packaging it, and showcasing it on the Snapchat social network. When the orders finally arrive, three or four delivery men crisscross the roads by car and collect the money before entrusting it to a 35-year-old treasurer. Coca, MDMA, cannabis, ecstasy… all products are available if you pay the right price. The two managers would have led the high life until the end of January 2022.
10 kg of drugs and €130,000 of criminal assets
Then, at the beginning of February, about 130 soldiers took part in a vast operation, which led to 9 arrests. Individuals assisted during their police custody by Mare Emmanuelle Franck, Morgane Dupoux, Caroline Marty-Daudibertières, Alexandre Martin and Pierre Lebonjour. All these suspects, from the manager to the simple delivery man, have been indicted and eight have been remanded in custody. During the searches, 10 kg of drugs of all kinds were recovered. Five other people were indicted this week in Toulouse. Two were arrested in Rennes and Nancy, where they hoped to be forgotten… And thanks to their investigations, the GIR teams got their hands on more than €130,000 in criminal assets, including seven cars, hi- fi and luxury clothes.
