“If I find you, I’ll break you…”: he attacks and spits in the face of a real estate agent, a sixty-year-old convicted in Monaco
At the helm, a sixty-something rather “good dough” appearance. Without the slightest entry on his criminal records, it is hard to imagine his violent behavior reproached by justice.
Because this Monegasque pensioner appeared before the criminal court for having beaten and verbally threatened a real estate agent.
The dispute was quite other than a simple story of unpaid rent or dispute within a condominium. It was a commission payment promised following a transaction, but not paid to a negotiator, which is none other than the company of the retiree’s son.
“If I find you, I’ll break you”
On September 6, to arbitrate the disagreement, it was decided to submit it to the labor inspectorate. But there was one condition before ruling on the dispute: the return of the keys and the agency’s laptop.
In the office, the father-in-law attended the exchange and demanded a writing in order to confirm the handing over of the objects. Once the certificate in hand, the withdrawal was carried out because the declaration was made on a simple sheet of paper.
Furious, he demanded a document in his head and a stamp. The refusal triggered a disproportionate reaction from the sexagenarian. He slapped the manager and threatened him: “If I find you, I’ll break you…”
The incident prompted the victim to take legal action. For President Florestan Bellinzona, there was no reason to come to blows. We had to talk! The defendant acknowledged the facts and apologized, without forgetting to plant a few banderillas.
“My daughter-in-law is discredited in this structure. However, I have always encouraged her to stay in order to perfect her role as a negotiator. But she has never had a contract and I remind you of article 6 (an employee can be dismissed without cause in Monegasque labor law). There were often discussions with his boss, because he was never allowed the promised salary.”
“The First Time in My Life”
And to continue calmly and after reflection: “Until the day when, for the first time in my life, I struck. Without remembering having threatened this gentleman with death. Certainly, I deserve a sanction. But it is unacceptable to see the shenanigans of this boss with men in cash and his way of taking advantage of the employees.”
The civil party has just been recalled to the bar of the aggression and threats. “This character kicked and spat in my face. I was shocked.” The public prosecutor did not fail to raise the real show of the author of the bickering in order to share the understanding of his behavior.
And note “the complexity of the problematic situation of an awarenessunderlined the first substitute Julien Pronier. It was up to his daughter-in-law to explain herself to her boss and not to this pensioner. The tension is mounting and it’s more of a punch than a slap. Moderate the sentence without exempting him from the seriousness of the facts. As for the writing, the authenticity cannot be denied and it requires no threat. Fifteen days with surprise.”
The court will follow the requisitions of the public prosecutor and will allocate the claimed sum of 2,000 euros to the civil party.
