A Ramadan of Togetherness | Muslim Youth Austria, March 31, 2022
The MJÖ’s Ramadan project “FastenTeilen Helfen” is entering the next round with a focus on social cohesion
As Muslim citizens, we fulfill our responsibility to people in need. Wherever cooperation threatens to split and people need help, our young people are there as a kind of link to help. Ramadan is a time of reflection and togetherness. We want to spend this year especially with our neighbors from the Ukraine
Adis Serifovic, Federal Chairman of Muslim Youth Austria
Vienna (OTS) – The regularly recurring charitable project of the Muslim Youth Austria “FastenTeilen Helfen” has already made a jump start this year. The war in Ukraine did not leave Muslim youth unmoved. Since the arrival of the first refugees, young Muslims have been tirelessly helping out day and night in the arrival center in Vienna. In addition to this, there are regular activities such as cooking for the homeless, volunteering in homes for the elderly or helping out in educational centers throughout Ramadan.
“As Muslim citizens, we fulfill our responsibility to people in need. Wherever cooperation threatens to split and people need help, our young people are there as a kind of link to help. Ramadan is a time of reflection and togetherness. We want to spend this year especially with our neighbors from the Ukraine
“, said Federal Chairman Adis Šerifović.
