A Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas in 2023
Las Vegas will host a Formula 1 Grand Prix next year.
The announcement was made yesterday and so far the contract is for one race only. It will take place at night, in downtown Sin City. The grand prix will be held over the Thanksgiving weekend, between November 23 and 25, 2023. The circuit will notably pass through the Strip, the famous boulevard where the biggest casinos in Las Vegas are lined up. F1 had already made an appearance in the Nevada capital in the early 80s, but without much success. At the time, the circuit had been laid out in a car park.
Vegas baby!
Considering the setting in the streets of the city of sin, the grand-prix should put on a very good show for spectators and viewers around the world. Besides, Formula 1 has bet on neon lights and illuminated signs to announce the great news to fans of the discipline.

The 6.12 km long circuit will feature 14 bends and three straights, with recommended top speeds of over 342 km/h. With this new calendar, the United States strengthens its place in the F1 game. Las Vegas indeed joins the American destinations of the queen discipline. Sin City is making a name for itself alongside Houston, which has been on the calendar since 2012. Nor is it forgetting Miami, where a grand prix will be organized on May 8.
