Wissam Ben Yedder’s fox goal with the Blues
Joined shortly after the hour mark with the French team in a friendly match against South Africa in Lille (5-0 success), the captain of AS Monaco offered his third goal in selection in the last quarter of an hour.
He comes in, he scores! This is the usual rate when Wissam Ben Yedder enters the game. Author of six goals this season in Ligue 1 off the bench (16 in career), more than any other player, the Monegasque captain has this time reoffended in the French team. Substitute at the start of the friendly match against South Africa in Lille, the number 10 of the Red and Whites appeared in the 65th minute, replacing Olivier Giroud, author of his 48th goal in Blue in the first period.

A surface fox butt
Associated with Kylian Mbappé at the forefront of the tricolor attack, the top scorer in the French championship (17 goals), did not take long to stand out. Very available in relay for his partners, Wissam is on the lookout for the second pot, when Paul Pogba puts the head in the center of… Kylian Mbappé! Positioned like a surface fox, he took the ball in a half-volley from the left, to score the fourth of five goals for the Blues at the Pierre Mauroy stadium (4-0, 81st >> but goodbye on MYTF1).

Third achievement with the Blues
His third achievement in the France team in 18 selections, and the first since September 10, 2019 against Andorra. A great reward for those who have participated in all the gatherings of the Blues over the past 18 months. Captain’ Wiss who did not hide his pride after the meeting, always so happy to represent his country. The 8th top scorer in the history of AS Monaco in Ligue 1 is thus pursuing his dream of playing in the next World Cup in Qatar. Kudos to him!
