Toulouse. “Joining the Toulouse University Hospital”: a scholarship system for female students
As part of its policy of equal opportunities and the promotion of professional equality between women and men within the public hospital service, the Toulouse University Hospital and its endowment fund, the Institut Saint-Jacques, launches a new approach in France, the ISJ social scholarships for female students: “Join the Toulouse University Hospital”.
In partnership with Sciences Po Toulouse and the University of Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier, these social scholarships will allow students to benefit from significant financial aid and tailor-made professional support.
The challenge: to promote their integration into the hospital public service and encourage them to apply for positions within the organization where they are underrepresented.
Social and geographical criteria
Launched in November 2021, this program is aimed at female students enrolled in preparation for the Sciences Po Toulouse Hospital Director competition as well as students on technician or biomedical engineer training at the University of Toulouse III –
Paul Sabatier.
The selection of candidates is made on social and geographical criteria (students from rural revitalization zones or priority neighborhoods of the City Policy being given priority).
The academic results as well as the motivation of the candidates to pursue a career in the hospital public service were also taken into account by the jury made up of representatives of the medical profession and the administrative departments of the CHU as well as the Saint-Jacques Institute (ISJ). .
Each scholarship allows you to carry out an internship at the Toulouse University Hospital supervised by a hospital director or a biomedical manager, to benefit from an envelope of €5,000 offered by the Institut Saint-Jacques and to be offered personalized support in link to their future career.
