Train traffic in Brussels-North interrupted by track runner | Brussels
SchaerbeekTrain traffic in Brussels-North was interrupted on Tuesday evening just before 7 p.m. due to a track runner. The man was scheduled in calculated and train traffic resumed at 7.30 pm.
On track 12 there was a person on the track around 6.40 pm, who went on the loop. At the request of the police, train traffic has been stopped.
“The track runner climbed onto an overhead wire pole, which resulted in Infrabel having shut down the power,” said Infrabel spokeswoman Jessica Nibelle. Both the police and the fire brigade have arrived on the scene.
Train traffic could be resumed around 7.30 pm, according to the NMBS on Twitter. The incident caused serious nuisance and delays, and this perhaps before the rest of the service on Tuesday.
