From Marvila to Marvila: the new Fábrica da Musa will be in the same neighborhood in Lisbon
After the extension of the space on Rua do Açúcar, the brewery has already revealed where to install the beer production.
This last weekend brought news — one bad, one good — about Fábrica da Musa, in Lisbon. The brewery space said goodbye to Rua do Açúcar, in Marvila, this Sunday, March 27, due to the end of the lease agreement for the space where they were. It was lacking to know where we can be tasted as beers of the next brand. O announcementmade this Monday, March 28, revealed that a new location will be in the same neighborhood of Lisbon.
“We moved on. Street up. Marvila inside. A short walk for the legs, but very long in meaning. Fábrica da Musa will reopen, in a house that was not ours before, but reconfigured to be so”, reads the Publication.
The brewery will share facilities with another national brand, Bolina. “Now Musa and Bolina are one and Marvila remains both. A friendship has converged in a frank bond, where the neighborhood does not overlap and the glass is always raised in half.”
For now, there is still no date for the opening of the doors at number 9 Rua Vale Formoso. “We change addresses but we keep the zip code and all the other codes that we have always used to you. We will be back soon, with a clean face and even more beautiful”, they add.
Mick Lager, Red Zeppelin Ale, Born in The Ipa or Twist and Stout — the names of some of the brand’s varieties — will return to being bottled and pressed in a few weeks.
Fábrica da Musa started producing beer in 2017. Later, at the end of that year, it opened a tap on Rua do Açúcar where it became possible to drink a glass. The musical programming has always been another of the strengths and is protected in the new location.
While the brewery does not reopen, try the various references of the brand in bars of across the country with whom they have partnerships. Musa has two other spaces of its own: one in Lisbon, in Bica; and another in Porto, at Passeio das Virtudes, which opened in October 2021.
