The “Aveyronnais of Toulouse” took pleasure in sharing a very beautiful evening
Nearly 90 people responded to the invitation of Marjorie Dalbin and the Aveyron WorldWide group, for a reunion which took place, Thursday evening, at the restaurant Les Chimères, in the heart of the Saint-Cyprien district, in the Ville Rose.
“Thank you very much Marjorie!“. What a pity that the deadline for submitting a candidacy has passed, she could have entered the presidential race. Marjorie Dalbin thus won all the votes last Thursday, on the occasion of the evening of the “Aveyronnais of Toulouse”, which took place in the restaurant Les Chimères, in the Saint-Cyprien district, belonging to the 27-year-old Réquistanaise, Manon Laur.
Nearly 90 people, not counting the dozen or so who had to withdraw at the last minute because they were in contact, responded to the invitation of the former football player from Rodez. Which was able to rely on the network of the Aveyron WorldWide group, with the precious collaboration of Christophe Palous, one of the two creators (with Stéphane Rouquette), in 2014, of this network which has exceeded 1,600 members today. An executive at Carrefour for many years, Marjorie Dalbin launched this challenge, which she calls “a bit crazy“, less than six months ago. She identified, through the professional network LinkedIn, about 300 Aveyronnais living in the Pink City. She decided to write to them.
The reunion was scheduled for January 6, but the health crisis did not hear it that way. It took more to cut off the momentum of this great running enthusiast. The appointment was set last Thursday and word of mouth over the past two months has increased the number of staff since the first floor of the establishment chosen was almost too small to accommodate all the guests. From Montsalès or Rulhac-Saint-Cirq, Millau or Entraygues, Villeneuve or Olemps, Saint-Geniez-d’Olt or Rodez, a badge with surname, first name and village of origin clearly visible on the chest, they were all happy to be there.
To get to know each other or to reunite without the weight of the years that have passed weighing down the pleasure of opening the memory drawer. This evening was just meant to be convivial, it simply exceeded the most optimistic hopes of the organizers. “Thank you for responding“, rejoiced, a bit moved, Marjorie Dalbin, raising her glass to the health of an evening which calls for many others.
The question was on everyone’s lips at the time of departure: “And now… when do we do it again?“. The month of June, with external entertainment, seems to hold the rope. And it is not impossible that this next initiative will not take place on land! The forecasts are already going well. Place your bets…
