E.Stanionis: “I am very close to bringing the champion’s belt to Lithuania”
27-year-old Lithuanian Eimantas Stanionis (13-0, 9 knockouts) April 16th. (early April 17th in Lithuanian time) will enter the most important career race. 28-year-old Rajab Butayev (14-0, 11 knockouts), who holds the WBA regular mid-weight world champion belt, will be waiting for Lithuania. The fight will take place at the impressive AT&T stadium.
“I am thrilled to have thousands of fans coming to AT&T Stadium to show off their skills. Butayev has strong enemies. Knowing both of our fighting styles, I have no doubt it will be an action-packed fight. There will be something to look at as long as the fight continues. For 2022, I set a goal to become a world champion. This has been my dream since childhood. Now I am very close to bringing the champion’s belt to Lithuania, “said E. Stanionis.
It is hoped that the victory for E.Stionion could open the door to a fight over the main WBA (Super) belt, and possibly even skeletal belts. It is not ruled out that the winners of E. Stanionis and R. Butajev will later meet with 31-year-old Errolo Spence (27-0, 21 knockout) and 35-year-old Cord Yorden Ugas (27-4, 12 knockouts) for 3 world champion belt winner.
E. Spence recently said he would leave the middleweight category after the next 2 fights and move on to the top statement.
“I am tired of this weight category. I said I would put on a belt here, and when I did, I would move on to a higher weight category. I have 2 fights left here, “said Spence.
It is believed that E. Spence hopes to defeat Y. Ugas and then face Terence Crawford, who has a WBO belt, but such a fight has not been possible for several years, and E. Stanence and R. Butayev could become the winner of E. Strence’s fight. o o as a backup.
