Weather fall now brings snow to Austria again – weather
At the beginning of the week, temperatures in Austria were still above 20 degrees, but this will be over with a delay on Thursday. Prognosis.
Am Tuesday the sun still shines at times with a few veils of cloud, it remains the longest friendly from eastern Styria and Burgenland to the Weinviertel. From the west it is getting more and more overcast during the day and the air is also becoming increasingly hazy, but it is still mostly dry. With weak to moderate winds from west to south, temperatures rise to 15 to 22 degrees, with the highest values in Burgenland.
It’s getting cold! Weather fall makes us all shiver
the Wednesday is mostly cloudy and extremely hazy, the sun is most likely to make an occasional appearance in the north-east. A few drops of rain will fall, especially in the south, and in the afternoon it will start to rain in Vorarlberg and in the Mühlviertel. From the Styrian hills to Burgenland fresh moderate to brisk south-westerly winds, but mostly the wind does not play a major role. The maximum values are between 9 and 17 degrees.
Snow coming
Am Thursday it rains again and again, especially in Carinthia and parts of Styria at first heavily. During the day the rain decreases in the east, in the west and southwest it intensifies with showers in the evening. The snow line in the northern Alps is falling from 1,500 meters at the beginning to around 1,000 meters in the evening, and there is still little to be seen of the sun. The wind will turn to the north, but will mostly be weak to moderate. At 5 to 13 degrees, it is already cooling down noticeably.
Also the Friday shows itself from its cloudy and partly rainy side, dry phases are to be expected above all in the south-east and in the eastern lowlands as well as in the Danube region. In general, the sun hardly shows up. On the north side of the Alps it snows above 1,000 meters, in the far north snowflakes down to 500 meters are possible. In the south, the snow line is around 1,500 meters, and it generally drops a little towards the evening. With a briskly refreshing north to north-west wind, the temperatures no longer rise above 2 to 11 degrees.
