Return of Zlatko Junuzovic for Werder Bremen not an issue
Zlatko Junuzovic’s departure from Red Bull Salzburg at the end of the season has already been decided. Now the midfielder is talking about a potential return to ex-club Werder Bremen – the Austrian is on the Weser, but not an issue.
Red Bull Salzburg confirmed on Thursday of the previous week on the club’s website that the collaboration with Zlatko Junuzovic will end in summer 2022. The 34-year-old’s expiring contract will not be extended. The midfield motor wore the jersey of the “Red Bulls” 113 times, recorded 12 goals and 32 assists and will probably leave the club as a four-time champion.
How things will continue afterwards is currently unclear. In Austria, LASK and Wolfsberger AC are said to be interested in Junuzovic. A decision about his future has not yet been made.
