Opposition MPs only ask the Minister of Defense for as long as the drone flew over Hungary
Opposition members of the Defense and Law Enforcement Committee, Ágnes Vadai (DK), Tamás Harangozó (MSZP) and László Lukács (Jobbik), wrote an open letter to Tibor Benkő, Minister of Defense, after Chairman Lajos Kósa had not convened nor did he answer a committee meeting before the start, nor does he answer our questions about the crashed drone.
In the open letter, they write that they are forced to turn to the defense in the form of such, after Lajos Kósa has repeatedly confirmed in recent weeks that he will be present at the meetings of the Defense and Law Enforcement Committee “on issues affecting the basic security of the Hungarian people”.
According to the opposition members of the Defense Committee, Lajos Kósa did not consider it important to inform the Hungarian people when the Minister of Defense set up something different about the strength of the Hungarian Defense Forces in the first weeks of the war.
“The committee could not meet even when you, Minister, fantasized about the reintroduction of compulsory military service beyond the boundaries of social consensus in a public forum, and Lajos Kósa fled before answering when a military reconnaissance drone flew more than two weeks ago. . in Hungarian airspace for 40 minutes “
The opposition MPs wrote in an open letter.
Opposition members of the Defense Law Enforcement Committee should therefore make a personal meeting as soon as possible. They only ask for as long as the military reconnaissance drone could stay in Hungarian airspace.
They are convinced that the program of the Minister of Defense should also include the fact that for 40 minutes he deals with “what is his job duty and what really occupies the Hungarian people”.
They then described their questions, which are expected to be answered:
Were they really unable to identify the military drone that had been in Hungarian airspace for 40 minutes?
What was the outcome of the study promised in the “drone case”? Who do you think is responsible?
Is Fidesz really considering the reinstatement of compulsory military service?
Do you really think it is important for children to understand the power of command and instruction?
