Zlatan Ibrahimovic talks about his end of career and his retirement
Visiting Ferrari headquarters in Maranello, AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoke about his future, he who is at the end of his contract in June with the Lombard formation but who could extend an additional season. “The future remains to be written. I don’t plan. Let’s see what happens. I don’t want to regret quitting football and then saying I could continue playing football because I would regret it all my life, since I could have continued. I want to play as long as possible. The reality is that I will play until I see someone is better than me, so I keep playing”said the 40-year-old Swedish striker in an interview for UEFA.com.
The Milan striker also spoke about his future retirement and his desire to start something new. “I know one day it will stop, and I won’t have that adrenaline anymore. This is a problem for all football players because you get adrenaline when playing football. Every day we do the same thing. We wake up, we get ready, we train, we eat and we rest. The next day, it’s the same thing. For 20 years you do these things and get adrenaline from them. So when suddenly you stop, you no longer have this agenda, you no longer have the adrenaline. And when it stops, you have to go from there and start over and start something new”explained Ibrahimovic who has played 22 games this season with the Rossoneri, scoring eight goals and providing two assists.
