At the wedding of Prince Josef-Emanuel of Liechtenstein in Colombia
One of his sisters, Princess Maria Anunciata, was married in Vienna, Austria, on September 4. The other, Princess Marie-Astrid, three weeks later, in Orbetello in Italy. This Friday March 25, 2022, it was in Cartagena de Indias in Colombia that Prince Josef-Emanuel of Liechtenstein said “yes” before God to the woman of his life. The 32-year-old only son of Princess Margaretha of Luxembourg and Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein married Claudia Echevarria on her land. Better known by her diminutive Cloclo, this Colombian businesswoman is co-founder of CREO Consulting, a public relations consulting firm based in New York and focused on Latin brands.
Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg absent
The groom being the nephew of both Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and Sovereign Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein, members of these two reigning families had made the trip. The Luxembourg monarch was present, without his wife Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, who everyone knows does not like long plane trips. He was with three of his five children: Prince Felix -with his wife Princess Claire who has just celebrated her 37th birthday-, Princess Alexandra and Prince Sébastien. In addition to Princess Margaretha -the mother of the groom-, her other sister Princess Marie-Astrid and her two brothers, Princes Jean and Guillaume, were also there. And if the sovereign of Liechtenstein was absent, his son Crown Prince Alois, who came with his wife Princess Sophie, did not miss the Colombian wedding of his first cousin.
