despite the absences, nice blow in Corsica for Villefranche
FC Villefranche-Beaujolais has not said its last word in the fight for the National podium! Close to breaking up last Friday after a second defeat in a row, the Rhone band of Hervé Della Maggiore, although deprived of five starters (including Da Silva, Pagerie or Bokele) and three rotation players, was able to bounce back in Corsica, pocketing three precious points on the synthetic Bastia-Borgo, relegated but undefeated at home since November 5!
The case was however poorly filed for the Caladois. Unable to retain possession and chain the passes, caught on the 2nd balls and by the intensity of Stéphane Rossi’s players, they saw their goalkeeper Bouet hold the barracks with two saves in the first quarter of an hour, while ‘ ‘Anziani is close to the amount (6th). At half an hour, the islanders passed in front on a counterattack on the right, with a cross missed by Romany then Bonenfant at the reception, but not by Raspentino (1-0, 32nd).
FCVB overturns everything in two minutes
Without the slightest situation before the break, the FCVB was transformed afterwards, taking the game on its own. After two well-regarded attempts from Taufflieb (48th, 61st), Villefranche finally overturned everything in two minutes. After a first counter trained by Injaï, originally and author of the pass Decision of a cross for Bonenfant (1-1, 66th), the Caladois took the advantage on the following sequence, from a corner from Sergio taken over by Elisor (1-2, 67th).
By scoring a third goal in added time in an empty goal (1-3, 90th), the top scorer of the Beaujolais club validated the superb move of the Tigers, back to three points from the podium, since Concarneau was suspended, like Le Le Mans, while Chateauroux was beaten. To be improved against Cholet next Friday, with hoped for returns.
