Covid19. 113 classes closed in the Toulouse academy
The number of classes closed due to the Covid-19 epidemic continues to increase in the Toulouse academy. However, schools are all open.
In parallel with the increase in the number of people supported by the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of closed classes in the Toulouse academy is also increasing. Thereby, 143 classes are closed, according to the bulletin released by the academy this Friday, March 25. There were 113 last week, and 73 a fortnight ago.
The number of pupils positive for coronavirus in the space of seven days rose from 2,400 to 4,109. An increase is also noted among the staff of the Toulouse academy. 2,623 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the past seven days, compared to 1,870 in the previous week.
In contrast, the evolution of the situation did not justify the closure of schools. They all remain open despite the spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Haute-Garonne.
The lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in the Toulouse academy
It should be remembered that wearing a mask is no longer compulsory at school, as everywhere else. Level 1 of the health protocol in schools apply. Gatherings are no longer prohibited and indoor contact sports are authorized. As far as contact case students are concerned, there is no change. They must carry out a self-test on D+2, then isolate themselves for seven days if the result is positive.
In addition, it has been decided that “the baccalaureate specialty tests, invoked from March 14 to 16, are postponed to May 11, 12 and 13 due to the Covid-19 epidemic”, as indicated by the site of the government.
