Toulouse: a retiree shows generosity, she receives death threats
A 69-year-old woman hosted, free of charge, a fifty-year-old carried on the bottle in an apartment in the west of Toulouse. One night of drinking, she couldn’t take it anymore, she kicked out. Furious, he threatened her with death and ransacked several parts of the building.
The scene takes place this March 23 around 9:30 p.m. in a building in the Basso-Cambo district to the east of Toulouse. Two frightened pensioners are entrenched in the apartment of the oldest. A 51-year-old man, totally drunk (more than 2 grams of alcohol per liter of blood) belched. He yells at them that he’s going to “kill” them.
He starts banging on the front door, which he ends up breaking. Alerted shortly before by the two elderly people, the police arrest the totally drunk character and take him to a drunk tank and then to police custody. The retiree explains to the agents the reason for the anger of the alcoholic man. She’s been hosting him free of charge for some time, but given his state of drunkenness at the start of the evening, she decided to kick him out.
The individual reacted very badly. He first attacked the main door of the building, and then broke a window. The lady, having been very frightened, took refuge with a neighbor, aged 72, who lives on the floor above. It is the front door of this poor gentleman who was completely destroyed by the fifties. The total amount of damages will be collected today by the building manager.
