Pope Francis invites all diocesan bishops and their priests to join in the prayer for peace in Ukraine, Friday, March 25 at 5 p.m., in Marian shrines, cathedrals and parish communities in all dioceses. In Toulouse, as in all the dioceses of the world, Mgr de Kerimel, Archbishop of Toulouse, will therefore celebrate a solemn mass which will be designated this Friday, March 25 at 5 p.m. in the Saint-Étienne cathedral.
A mass or a time of prayer
“On this next feast of the Annunciation, Pope Francis will consecrate Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary and he invites all the dioceses to join in her prayer,” recalls Bishop de Kérimel. I invite all parishes and communities to organize a Mass or a time of prayer for this intention, trusting in the intercession of the Virgin Mary with divine mercy, for peace in Europe and throughout the world”.
The diocese of Toulouse and all its faithful are mobilized to help Ukrainian refugees who arrive in France after fleeing the fighting.
“Many Catholics are invested in associations including Secours Catholique and organize collections, concerts, receptions, indicate the diocese of Toulouse. At the diocesan level, the collection of March 25 will be entirely shared between three associations which are currently helping Ukrainians in their country and in the countries which host those who have had to flee: Secours Catholique, Aid to the Church in Need and L Oriental work.
