Visit of the Annecy site of the MECALAC company.
Monday, March 21, first and third year students took advantage of the arrival of spring during an outing to Annecy.
They were warmly welcomed by Henri Marchetta, founding President of the Mecalac group, at the Annecy-le-Vieux site.
Henri Marchetta introduced them to the company, which has designed and manufactured public works machinery in several companies in Europe and sells them throughout the world.
Then several managers of key positions explained the workings of a company: social and environmental responsibility (CSR), IT structure, design and innovation. The discussions were very instructive.
The midday break was an opportunity to picnic in the sun in the magnificent setting of the edge of Lake Annecy.
The afternoon was an opportunity to visit the assembly line of Mecalac excavators, the company’s flagship product.
The icing on the cake: a demonstration of the performance of two Excavator models (9 and 6 Tons). 4 students even had the chance to pilot the machines!
Many thanks to Henri Marchetta and his team for their warm welcome.
Thanks also to Clément, Polytechnician intern at the Lycée for organizing the trip.
Remember that the Anny and Henri Marchetta Foundation has been offering scholarships for several years to 3 preparatory students at the Lycée Henri Parriat.
