The creator of the performance will look at the father-son relations that we know from the parable of the prodigal son, describe in the Gospel according to St. Łukasz, from “The Prodigal Son” by Sergei Prokofiev or painting technique with this subject. Artists surround this story with philosophical, psychological and pedagogical contexts.
And what will they choose for this topic? In the performance of “SM. The masochistic father-son images I want to look at, I begin after establishing the ballet techniques of the already modern beginning and translating the choreography into the already classical one. The ballet smells the body in “codes” and “frames” – this clear and structure has no possibility of justifying the justification with the theme of waste in honor – son. Started open and vibrating in the dance of the foundation, they will raise the subject of the son’s weakness in relation to his parents, male weakness, son’s childhood love for his father, described by Sigmund Freud as erotic love, and the symbolic “murder” of the father as a leading parent in adulthood.
