This isolated place where the princess has just found refuge
People and royalty
The South African would not live at the Palace, but at Roc Agel.
Charlene of Monaco is back, or almost. On March 12, the 44-year-old princess announced ” with joy ” that she had left her Swiss clinic for Le Rocher. But it is at Roc Agel and not at the Palace that the South African, apparently tired of the intrigues of alcoves, would have put her luggage.
Behind closed doors
“It’s the place where we close the door on the world. » It is in these terms that Grace Kelly spoke of Roc Angel, an opulent country house bought by the actress and Prince Rainier in 1957. The place, perched on the heights of Monaco, is as beautiful as it is unreachable, and represents a popular refuge for the Grimaldis every summer. Horses, red hens, sheep… Roc Agel looks like a chic ranch and the estate, well protected from prying eyes by an army of pines and elms, covers 56 hectares. There, Rainier III liked to wear the denim shirt and Grace forgot everything but her super-8 camera.
Since then, Albert II has reclaimed the place by emphasizing organic farming and Charlène would like to devote herself to cooking there. The princess had also spent part of the confinement there with her twins, Jacques and Gabriella, 7 years old.
