SPÖ-Kucher: People in Austria already have enough worries with inflation and Corona and no understanding of the government dispute
The Minister of Health should simply do what he is authorized to do by the Epidemic Act and is also obliged to do in the interest of people’s health
Vienna (OTS/SK) – “In view of the skyrocketing inflation and the ongoing corona pandemic, people in Austria really have other concerns than government disputes and additional corona chaos. They would at least have deserved a government that does their job,” said SPÖ health spokesman Philip Kucher, annoyed at the government’s recent theater around the pending ordinance on the obligation to wear masks. The catastrophe performance of the federal government in corona management is reflected in a school and hospital operation just before collapse, in Austria as the EU leader, in initial vaccinations at de facto zero and in daily record infection levels. ****
The SPÖ MP points out that in a pandemic, the Minister of Health not only has far-reaching powers to protect health, but is also expected to use them. Kucher: “We would like to finally have a Minister of Health who does what he is in charge of!” (End) lp
