Romain Ntamack will extend his contract in Toulouse
Romain Ntamack signed his first license at Stade Toulousain at the age of four to five. It was in 2003-2004. Almost twenty years later, the opener for the France team is still playing in Rouge et Noir. And it will continue for a few more years at least. It’s no secret that “NTK” is about to extend its contract. President Didier Lacroix also announced it last week, “It’s a matter of days” he specified.
His father Emile, in charge of club training, and his agent Stéphane Dray are currently finalizing the final details with the Toulouse management. Under contract until June 2023, he should commit until June 2028. Like Dupont, Baille, Cros or Marchand who recently signed a new long-term contract. Romain Ntamack explains: “It’s not signed, but it shouldn’t be long as Didier said (The cross). My father (Emile) and my representative (Stephane Dray) took care of it. Toulouse is my club, I have always worn this Red and Black jersey. I have not spoken with other clubs. It was more than obvious to stay at Stade Toulousain. »
“I never imagined myself anywhere else”
Even if he has already won everything with Stade Toulousain, two Brennus (2019 and 2021) and a European Cup (2021), the international opener cannot be seen elsewhere for the moment. “I never imagined myself anywhere else, assures Ntamack. And even when I tried to project myself, it’s impossible. I am too attached to this club. »
He also plays with many Tricolores and in particular his buddy of the hinge Antoine Dupont, an additional “plus”, especially in view of the 2023 World Cup. Romain Ntamack is thirsty for titles. He intends to at least equal his father’s record, six times French champion with Stade Toulousain (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2000) and twice European champion (1996 and 2005). “I want to mark the history of this club, insists NTK. JI’ve always dreamed of wearing these colors. I am totally fulfilled there. When we see for example the longevity and loyalty of Maxime Médard at Stade Toulousain, I want to do the same. It’s my club. » Red and Black flow through his veins and it’s not about to stop.
