The Knights win the game |
The Bears quickly opened the scoring 1-0 by Kordule (5’45, assist Gagnon, Pryzbyla) on a perfectly executed three-way game.
The evening visitors were on the ropes but not yet knocked out.
Feeling the wind of the ball, they managed to keep the mark just before the first break.

Kordule opens the scoring for the Bears |
The second third was of the same ilk as the first, the Villardians still so starved imposed their game and high tempo.
They took a two-goal lead on a power play skilfully finished by Aurard. 2-0 (25’31, assist Zonderop, Bernier).
The Savoyards did not let themselves be pushed around and reduced the gap by Jenista, 2-1 (28’50, assist D’Orazio)
Far from being beaten down by this return of the Knights, the Bears developed a well-honed game and kept control of the puck.
They doubled their lead by P.Kordule well served by Loze, 3-1 (29’58, assist Loze).
But as a good captain, B.Arnaud allows his people not to doubt for long, 3-2 (32’56, assist Papa, Moncenix).
A clever new power play allowed Pryzbyla to give the Bears a two-goal lead just before the second break, 4-2 (35’08, assist Florian, Trabichet).

Muscular duel between Aurard and Sprunger |
S.Barin’s men came back with a little more bite and accelerated the game.
Villard bent but did not break.
Annecy would accelerate further and rejoin the score in less than two minutes by C.Papa 4-3 (48’35 pass Arnaud, Moncenix) then Springer 4-4 (50’07, pass Louvier),
The experience of the Savoyard players allows them to take the momentum.
The Bears, frustrated by the refereeing decisions, lost their cool and received two major penalties in less than two minutes. Despite a simultaneous failure, Annecy retained 3 minutes of numerical superiority to try to take the advantage.
They did not miss the opportunity and V. Viton Mea remembered the good memories of the Villardian supporters and the Knights passed in front of the scoreboard for the first time in the match. 4-5 (59’09, assist R. Papa, Springer).
Villard pushes by his supporters rewarded everything but without managing to shake the nets

T.Trabichet well ready to equalize |
The Knights take a big breath of reduction and get the all-important Game 1 win in a 3-game series.
They are therefore in a favorable ballot to qualify for the semi-finals but the Bears will not give up and intend to thwart the predictions.
Villard did not go far from the feat for this first match in his André Ravix ice rink.
Leading 4 goals to 2 at the end of the second third, coach PASimonneau’s players have long made the Knights of the Lake doubt coach S.Barin and will play without pressure for the next decisive match.
