After an excellent season, ending in 3rd place in the standings, AS Monaco disappoints in 2021-2022. The Monegasques, statistically still in the race for Europe, are kept away by competitors like OM or Stade Rennais. ASM could lose one of its leaders during the summer transfer window which is fast approaching. Aurélien Tchouaméni, indisputable holder of Philippe Clément’s team, is of interest to European football leaders. According to foot market, PSG is among the contenders.
The progression of the ASM player is dazzling
Aurélien Tchouaméni arrived in the Principality at the end of the 2020 winter transfer window. The Monegasques spent €20 million to snatch him from his training club, FCGB. Since then, the midfielder has become a benchmark for his position in Ligue 1, as everywhere in Europe. This is reflected in his market value, which has doubled since joining Monaco. In 2022, it is valued at between 30 and 40 million euros, according to the Football Observatory (CIES). Estimates corresponding to that of the German web portal Transfermarkt, at 40 million euros. Minimum sums to the €50 million that the Red and Whites would request according to foot market.
