In the film “House of Debris” by Simon Lereng Wilmond (Denmark-Finland-Sweden-Ukraine), -who participated in the International Competition Section- awarded the “Golden Alexander” accompanied by a cash prize of 12,000 euros in the list of previous euros. Mr. Giatromanolakis stressed that several of the films that are planned deal with current issues, such as “House of Fragments” and “F @ ck this job” which depict different aspects and aspects of the war.

The Undersecretary also noted that projects worth 2.1 million euros have been included in the Recovery Fund for the Thessaloniki Film Festival.

The Mermaid Award, the award of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival for the best LGBTQI + theme film of the program, was won by the film “Gabi: from eight to thirteen” by Engelie Bromberg (Sweden, Norway) and Special references to “Documentaries” and Paul Cohen (Armenia-Netherlands) and “Romania” Baghdadi (USA-Lebanon).

The WWF Hellas Award for Best Environmental Interest went to Marie Amige and Bensan Mounier (France)’s “Belly Queen” and Special Mention is given to Jack Guba’s documentary “Annoying Bear”. Saint Vaden (Canada).
The film “Forever Spring” by Jason Loftus (Canada) won the award of the television station of the Greek Parliament “Human Values”.
