the tribute of the Jewish community in memory of the victims of the Ohr Torah school
Sunday, March 20, in the morning, gathered the witnesses of the attacks which mourned the Jewish community of Toulouse. The commemoration took place privately at the Ohr Torah school.
It’s like a moment suspended in time… Far from the tumult of this afternoon and the official commemorations. A sober moment for the Jewish community to honor its dead, torn from life this morning of March 19, 2012.

The ceremony takes place in the presence of the parents of Myriam Monsonego, still at the head of the school, of Manuel Valls, teachers, parents of students or even lawyers… Direct witnesses of the horror.
Everyone came to give a speech in honor of the victims. Speeches that show the tearing of hearts. Ava, former student and friend of Myriam, cannot forget: “Ten years of loneliness, ten years of bitterness (…) but these ten years mean nothing, the wounds remain. The scar at the bottom of the heart, it is indelible and eternal.” To survive and in the face of despair, she locked up her pain in a small box.

Of course, our hearts continued to beat, but as if in slow motion. (…) But we remained standing because we were all stuck very tightly against each other. others.”
“Thank you for staying when leaving seemed to be the only solution. We owe you a lot, we are aware of it. (…) If you knew how much we would like to relieve your pain and pain”cries full of sobs, Jonathan Chetrit former student of the school to the attention of de Yaffa and Yacoov Monsonego
