Volleyball A1 women: Busto wins at the tie-break in Rome, Novara passes to Trento
In the advances of the 11th return match, the leaders wins at Trento and Rome recovers from 0-2 and falls in the last set against Busto
Trentino-Novara 1-3
(25-23, 13-25, 22-25, 21-25)
Tenth consecutive success for Igor Gorgonzola Novara, who in the most classic of spins suffers more than expected from a perky Delta Despar Trentino which has come one step away from the tie break. From a fifth set that for the Gialloblù team would have meant precious points in terms of salvation, to try to abandon the last place close in the standings and the specter of direct relegation more and more. To the Dolomites that 26 plans are not enough to try to hit a Novara more effective in terms of attack and reconstruction. In addition to the usual Karakurt, this is due to the good tests in Washington in the center and Daalderop in place 4.

The first set sees a perky Trento, being able to keep up with the most popular Piedmontese. So much so that balance reigns supreme for practically the whole set, up to 23 all. When first a network invasion by Igor and then a wall by Furlan on the Karakurt pipe give Trento success. In the second part the plot of the match changes from the first exchanges. Novara immediately sprints ahead 1-5 and 4-10, coach Bertini relies on timeout changes but the Piedmontese have two more gears: 6-15. The advantage of the Igor is so important 9-19 that you just have to check until the end. We return to battle starting from the third set, 11-9, Trento manages to be more effective in attack and less foul, thus keeping up with the guests. Parity returns to reign on 17 to 17, a balance broken only in the final by the greater cynicism of Igor who makes good use of the opportunities she had. Trento proves to be alive and not resigned in the fourth set, starting immediately ahead 14-10. Novara grabs the tie again in the partial half and as in the previous set finds in the final the winning shot right under the banner of the finish line.
Rome-Busto Arsizio 2-3 (19-25, 16-25, 25-22, 26-24, 12-15)
–
It is Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio to win the first advance of the 11th return day of the women’s A1. After two sets conducted without too much effort, it is Rome who comes out – with heart and determination – hanging up the Lombard who, only at the tie-break, will be able to close the match. A golden point for Acqua & Sapone Roma in terms of salvation, as it has matured, which certainly gives the possibility of having girls, especially Mafrici, to have the necessary means, except for drops from the psychological point of view which it has often witnessed, in order to stay in the top flight.
The match

The hosts start very strong (10-5) by imposing their game right from the start. It is then bust to come back dangerously, also thanks to a mental decline of the wolves, to then grab the draw (14-14) with subsequent overtaking, thanks above all to the points of Ungureanu (6) and Mingardi (6). Once the initial gap has been filled, the Lombard team stretches out, Roma changes Klimets and Archpriest for Decortes and Pamio trying to shorten, but the set ends 19-25 for Busto.
In the second partial Bust in front right away, the capitoline players try to recover – despite the technical superiority of the opponent – but the difference in points is now unbridgeable. Partial that ends at 16-25 for the Lombard with 10 points from Mingardi.
The teams travel paired in the third set, Rome (with 8 points from Klimets) manages to go ahead (20-19) forcing coach Musso to time-out. The action of the capitoline continues and, thanks also to a series of free errors by Busto, he manages to reach 23-20 with the second time-out call for the guests. Captain Stigrot loads the team on his shoulders and, scoring two very heavy points, agrees to the Wolves to win the set (25-22). Acqua & Sapone seems to have come out of torpor and in the fourth set manages to take the lead with a margin of two points (21-19). Two errors enough elements allow Busto to hook and then overcome the Giallorossi who do not give up and manage to take on 23-23. The battle continues and the wolves manage to bring the set home (26-24). In the tiebreak, Busto moves to 5-9, Roma does not give up and manages to move to 10-12. Musso calls the time-out, Rome continues to attack, taking the 12-13, but then the guests close at 12-15. On the next day, Busto will see it at home against Casalmaggiore, while the Giallorossi will play a decisive match against Trentino salvation at PalaEur.
