Ariège retirees will manifest in Toulouse
Yesterday at the premises of Force Ouvrière 09 in Foix, the trade union organizations of retired Ariège residents CGT- FGR FP – FO- FSU – SOLIDAIRES organized a press briefing in order to detail the program of the regional demonstration planned in Toulouse on Thursday March 24 at 2 p.m. Unsurprisingly, the unions represented among others by Jacques Gomes were part of their dissatisfaction with the treatment accorded to retirees in France. “We are angry. At Versailles the other day, Europe managed to release 2000 billion to help Ukraine, and we French people are not able to help our pensioners. It’s unbearable”, slipped the USR CGT secretary. In addition, trade unionists intend to make it clear that “no, retirees are not people who cost society, but humans who demonstrate to live with retirement pensions worthy of the work done during their careers”.
A chapter on living conditions in retirement homes and EHPADs was discussed, as well as another on the “gradual deterioration of public services”. These two points which worry seniors will be at the center of demands on March 24.
Moreover, if you wish to go to Toulouse to take part in the demonstration, know that a bus will leave from the church of Ax-les-Thermes at 11:30 a.m. It will be in Foix (roundabout of Mcdo) at 12:13 p.m. or at Saverdun (Aire de Périès) at 12:45 p.m. for an arrival in Toulouse (Saint-Cyprien) at 1:40 p.m.
