Helsinki Co-Chair Cohen asked experts at a press conference to assess Ukraine’s defense needs
WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), co-chair of the Commission for Security and Cooperation in Europe, better known as the Helsinki Commission, today attended a briefing with experts assessing Ukraine’s defense needs in the ongoing war with Russia.
In his questions to the experts, Congressman Cohen, at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, asked Polish MiG fighters:
“Why (President Volodymyr) Zelensky and, of course, his army still want them? If they want them and they have made it their second choice besides the No-Fly Over regulation, which is forbidden, why would they want them if they are not as effective as these other scare weapon systems?
