Ukraine. A new fundraising location opens in Toulouse
The city of Toulouse announces the opening of a new place to collect donations in kind for Ukraine. It is located on the island of Ramier.
Solidarity with Ukraine continues to grow in Toulouse. The country has been under attack from Russia since February 24. The municipality of the Pink City announces, this Thursday, March 17, the opening of a new place to collect donations in kind for Ukrainians. This is Hall 9 of the Parc des Expositions, on the Ile du Ramier, accessible by the Stadium bridge. It is made available by the town hall of Toulouse and will be open Monday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“This new center will be jointly implemented (reception, management and distribution of donations) on the one hand with the Emmaüs association for donations to Ukrainians displaced in Toulouse and on the other hand with the Ukraine Libre Toulouse association for donations to Ukraine”, explains the municipality in a press release. People wishing to make donations are invited to consult the list of necessary productsin order to adapt donations to expressed needs.
In addition, “to respond to the immense outpouring of solidarity that is manifesting itself, an information campaign with Toulouse residents has been set up to guide initiatives (financial or in-kind donations, accommodation, volunteering…)”, indicates the community. ““Solidarity Ukraine” totems, which refer to useful information using a QR code, are placed in public spaces in five places in the city.
