Occasionally an evening event, the artist Patrick Pavan will unveil the “Clay Colossus” whose model is Thierry Dusautoir. For the occasion, the former third line and captain of the France team will also be present.
Thierry Dusautoir honored
It is through a compact clay wall made by the students of the school of Arts and Matter of Albi that the artist sculpted the silhouette of Thierry Dusautoir. Appearing “strong and beefy”, Pavan wanted to portray the “hidden fragility” of some and in particular rugby players as he confides for Toulouse news.
“I wanted to have Thierry as a model after reading his open letter in which he opens up. Rugby players are rather strong and sturdy, I wanted to show their fragility through this sculpture”.
The sculpture will be unveiled this Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Cobalt space. For the occasion, the organizers “Opus Factory” and “Big Happy” distributed a great program.
