Pedestrians and cars prohibited this Sunday in Toulouse around Ohr Torah and the Halle aux Grains
This Sunday, March 20, Toulouse pays tribute to the victims of the attacks of March 2012, perpetrated by the Islamist terrorist Mohammed Merah. On this occasion, a security system will be put in place around the places where these commemorations will take place: the Ohr Torah school and the Halle aux Grains.
Cars and pedestrians prohibited near ceremonial venues
Two types of perimeters will be set up by the Haute-Garonne prefecture: first, exclusion zones (marked in red on the maps), inside integrating the circulation of pedestrians and cars will be prohibited from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Halle aux Grains sector and from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in that of the Ohr Torah school. Exemptions will be granted to people accredited for the ceremonies, to local residents with proof of address and to people with a compelling reason. The inhabitants of the areas concerned are invited to anticipate their movements, adapt their itinerary if necessary and above all to remember to bring proof of address for any trip. Parking will be prohibited inside this perimeter from Saturday March 19 at 8:00 p.m. to Sunday March 20 at 8:00 p.m.
Around the Halle aux Grainsthe streets concerned are as follows between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.:

– rue du Pont Guilheméry (until the crossing of Port Saint-Etienne,
– rue de la Charité
– place Dupuy
– Lion brothers street
– Garden Street
– rue des Potiers (until the crossing of rue des Jardins)
– rue Pierre-Paul Riquet (to the intersection of rue de l’Etoile)
– rue Antoine Idrac (until the crossing of rue Delacroix)
The terraces of the shops included in this perimeter must be closed this Sunday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The François Verdier metro station remains servedbut the “rue des Frères Lion” exit will be closed.

– chemin Michoun (until the crossing of rue des Archives)
– rue du Réservoir (until the crossing of rue des Archives)
– rue Sainte-Hélène (until the crossing of rue Rossignol)
– rue Jules Lemaitre (until the crossing of rue Rossignol)
– rue Dieu (until the crossing of rue Rossignol)
Parking will be prohibited inside this zone from Saturday March 19 at 8:00 p.m. to Sunday March 20 at 6:00 p.m.
The route of bus line 36, which takes Avenue de Lavaur, will be diverted.
The prefecture will also set up protection areas (in orange on the maps) in why gatherings and demonstrations are prohibited on Sunday March 20, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Halle aux Grains sector and from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Ohr Torah school sector.
The transport and use of fireworks, firecrackers, real or fake weapons, and any other object that could constitute a weapon will be prohibited inside the zone.
