Lyon passes, Monaco stops there
Olympique Lyonnais qualified for the quarter-finals of the Europa League at the expense of FC Porto (1-0, 1-1). Held in check (1-1) at the Stade Louis II by SC Braga, Monaco saw its journey end there.
There is only one tricolor representative left in the Europa League. Beaten in the first leg (2-0), AS Monaco failed to catch up on SC Braga on Thursday 17 March.
At the Stade Louis II, Wissam Ben Yedder’s teammates even conceded the opener, the work of Abel Ruiz (19th). The Monegasques managed to equalize at the end of the game through Axel Disasi (90th) but saw their European journey come to an end in the round of 16.

OL at the rendezvous
Later in the evening, Olympique Lyonnais confirmed their good result obtained on the lawn of FC Porto eight days ago (1-0) to continue their adventure in the Europa League.
The Lyonnais smoke the lead through Moussa Dembélé shortly before the quarter-hour mark before conceding the equalizer on a sublime volley from Pepê (27th). OL hold their lead until the end and could even have widened the gap in the last moments by Houssem Aouar. No matter: he will be there for the quarter-finals.

Lyon will know their opponent tomorrow after the draw which will take place in Nyon (1:30 p.m.).
