Warsaw. Drivers on bus lanes of Trasa Łazienkowska. “There are no minutes without the rules being broken here”
In connection with the repair of the viaducts over Agrykola, a temporary traffic organization was introduced on the Łazienkowska Route. City activists point out that everyone is notoriously breaking reports about moving along bus lanes. Our observations also confirm.
The viaducts of Trasa Łazienkowska over Agrykola are being rebuilt. After the North, vehicle traffic in the South Station. There are four lanes on the southern viaduct – two in each direction. However, many drivers on the Łazienkowska Route do not respect the temporary traffic organization and use dedicated bus lanes. Activists from the Miasto Jest Nasz association pointed out the problem. “Every day in Warsaw confirmed total capitulation @Policja_KSP in guarding bus lanes – a string of 7 cars on the bus lane, not an exception, up to the norm” – they wrote on Twitter. They added that a device for automatic supervision over bus lanes was necessary. They attached the entry with photos showing the strings and we are learning on the bus lane. One of them also shows that a police car is passing next to drivers who break the rules.

On Tuesday afternoon, the summit peak in hours on margins from Waryński and on the spot at the Crossroads for the operation with Wisłostrada was watched by the reporter of tvwarszawa.pl Mateusz Szmelter.
– The direction of scrolling from Wróżyński towards Marszałkowski was realized in the traffic jam. They are notoriously passed by people who illegally use an additional bus lane – described Szmelter. – At this point, they are joined by those who do not leave the Jazdy Polskiej roundabout. Drivers following the route include everything on Łazienkowska Street. They are not able to judge who was using the bus lane illegally, who was leaving Jazdy Polska – our reporter.
Similar behavior of drivers was also observed in the place. – Many drivers, instead of driving in their lane, enter buses. As a result, at the link junction, Trasa Łazienkowska and Wisłostrada, the same ones had to go to the promotion in order to additionally support the traffic – they stopped Szmelter. He stressed that this is a mass phenomenon. “There aren’t many minutes in rush hour without a driver breaking the rules in these places,” he said.

We asked the Warsaw Police Headquarters to comment on the allegations of activists from MJN. We asked if, in connection with the reconstruction of Trasa Łazienkowska, greater savings and resources were allocated to monitoring the regulations by the management in this place. We also asked how many drivers were fined for driving on buses on sections where a temporary organization of the organization was introduced. We are waiting for answer.
