Driving north of Toulouse is particularly complicatedat the end of the day on Wednesday March 16, 2022. Farmers are conducting a snail operation at the level of the A62.
Difficulties after Saint-Jory
From 5.20 p.m., exit n°11, that of Saint-Jory, was prohibited, “ following a protest“, jointly indicated the Twitter accounts of the A62 motorway and the Toulouse ring road.
” He is difficult to circular heading north, on the A62 motorway”, specified, for its part, Vinci Autoroutes, at 6:30 p.m.
After the Saint-Jory interchange, there is a demonstration by farmers. About twenty tractors and a few light vehicles travel at very low speed on this A62 motorway, towards the Eurocentre interchange.
Vinci Autoroutes adds: “ a big clog will formour teams and the gendarmerie are at the back of the event to ask motorists arriving from Toulouse to slow down before getting into this heavy congestion”.
How to avoid disruption?
Traffic is already dense in normal times, rush hour requires, how will manage to reduce the problem? “We must get out before this disturbance, take in the direction of Sesquières when I am in Toulouse and take the highway a little higher, at the level from Eurocentre, if you want to go to Montauban”, answers Vinci Autoroutes.
Already mobilized very early in Toulouse
This day was marked by a regional mobilization farmers who, very early this Wednesday, March 16, blocked the Lespinasse fuel depot, north of the Pink City.
A hundred demonstrators were presented to claim aid in particular to cope with soaring prices. “We will not lift the blockade until we obtain satisfaction,” warned Élodie Doumeng, president of the Young Farmers of Haute-Garonne.
