Slovakia has preliminarily agreed to provide the S-300 system
CNN reported on Wednesday, referring to three sources familiar with the matter. However, the US is still working and answering the question of how to replace Slovakia’s defense forces and move the system to Ukraine is therefore not yet certain, writes CNN.
According to two television sources, Slovakia is demanding that the S-300 system be replaced immediately. If Slovakia provides its S-300 system, it will likely receive a US-made Patriot air defense missile system to meet the capacity it would give up, CNN writes, citing two other sources familiar with the negotiations.

Do you think there will be a third world war?
Germany and the Netherlands have already publicly announced that they are sending the Patriot system to Slovakia. But the integration of a new, comprehensive air defense system into the country’s existing military architecture, as well as the training of its forces “may take a while”one source pointed out.
The US State Department and the Slovak Embassy in Washington declined to comment on the report, CNN added.
