Is the orange sky over Bulgaria dangerous and what time to expect until April?
The sky in some parts of Western Bulgaria today was orange, and the reason was the transfer of dust from the Sahara, which covered not only the Iberian Peninsula, Western Europe, but also reached our country.
This is not the first time Sahara dust has colored the sky. This usually happens in short spring or early autumn, says climatologist Petar Yankov.
“This is due to the warmer air that has occupied the central parts of the continent, and in its periphery from the south, such air with dust from the Sahara is being transported quickly. over Central European countries, “he said.
This year, however, the orange weather is ahead of spring, which is celebrated on March 20. Rise in temperature is not yet expected.
“Between March 20 and 22 it is expected to rain again and they will be again mixed with rain and snow with lower temperatures,” said the climatologist.
Spring will come later than expected. “Around March 24-25, when a permanent warming is expected, with a significant increase in temperature,” predicts Petar Yankov.
The month of April will start with more sun.
