“I thank the manager that he does not want to be at all costs to please people, that he is not discouraged by the fact that many people who do it in the way it is done, do not like it, as well as people inside the Church” – he said in Homily by Archbishop Adrian Galbas, Mass on the 9th anniversary of the election of Pope Francis. The Eucharist celebrated at the Conference of the Polish Bishops’ Conference in the Temple of Divine Providence in Warsaw was presided over by Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, Nuncio to Poland.
In his homily, Archbishop Adrian Galbas recalled the events that were moving forward with the pontification for Francis. The first is the moment of choice, when in front of the crowds gathered in St. Peter, a newly elected person designed by him for God’s people to pray, by God blessed him. And second, after the operation, very moving, when I caused the Pope’s pandemic, he was crossing the empty and wet Square itself. – I believe that the king is never alone, said the archbishop, because anyone who believes that Jesus will never be lonely and fashionable, even if everyone has gone. I know he believes, added Archbishop Galbas.
With whom the poem by Zbigniew Herbert is introduced, “Introduction of the poems by Zbigniew Herbert”, Archbishop Galbas talked about what is meant by people’s lives, who asks about their rich people, people who are depressed, attached to the ground not only with “trickles of sweat”, such as in the poem, but with the introduction I appeared: “about Ukrainians, Russians, Poles, about people from Lampedusa and Lesbos, about people who have been wronged in so many ways, also in the Church, about people who are so affected by death today. Even if they do not have the soul of a poet, they have this story to them that the Church will now give them a drop of meaning. “
At such moments when I think about all these people – Archbishop Galbas – I thank God that I gave us the artist Franciszek
“I thank Francis that he has the courage today, like Paul, to preach the Gospel, in the midst of his chief affliction, that he does not want to please people at all costs, and that he is not discouraged by the fact that many people do what he does, in the way he does. to do this, also dislikes many people inside the Church. I thank him for not using flattery in speech, hidden greed, or the search for human glory. That we say sermons every day and pray every day. That he is modest and natural, that he is interested only in human affairs, but even more in human affairs. That he flies to the end of the world to reduce the smaller church that is a little flock. For not blaming the bush, but saying what it is like. In a word, I thank him for “Evangelii gaudium”, not only for the text, but also for the example. For being Isaiah the messenger of joy, not the deliverer in the world, but who is now consolation, who is the deepest, that the day will come, all of ours will see God’s salvation. Also those nations that now see nothing but the darkness of the shelters and hear nothing but the bang of bombs – said Archbishop Adrian Galbas.
For the intention of Pope Francis, the members of the chapter of the Archdiocese of Warsaw and the announcer, brothers and sisters, Catholic Princess Action, movements, communities and parish groups also prayed for Pope Francis in the Temple of Divine Providence.
