The Toulouse University Hospital sends war medicine equipment to Ukraine
New wave of solidarity from Toulouse for the Ukrainian people. The Toulouse University Hospital has, in fact, made a new donation to the Ukrainian hospital teams. The donation was sent as part of the Occitanie Region’s call for mobilization. The latter organized a large humanitarian convoy to Poland this Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Gloves, compresses, FFP 2 masks…
The teams of Toulouse University Hospital made a donation of personal protective equipment including gloves, FFP2 masks or over-blouses. The convoy also has materials dedicated to war medicine and heavy traumatology. For example, there is haemostasis equipment such as military tourniquets, compression and haemostatic dressings, infusion and rehydration equipment, suction probes, catheters, etc. Two pallets were thus handed over to the RegionOccitanie.
This meets the current needs of Ukrainian caregivers to treat wounds or to manage the care of injured people who may find themselves buried under buildings,” explains the CHU in a press release.
The Toulouse University Hospital teams are particularly “moved by the situation in Ukraine”, explains the establishment in a press release. All hospital staff wish to express their “solidarity and their support for their colleagues and the Ukrainian people.”
