The Forum des Arènes de Toulouse is the 2nd ugliest place in France | News
Hard blow for the pink city… If Toulouse is recognized worldwide as a city full of charm with its Place du Capitole, its Carmes district, its banks of the Garonne and the color so characteristic of its architecture, it also has certain places much less sexy and shiny. This is particularly the case of the Forum des Arènes, a large square where the buildings are linked to offer a not really pleasant spectacle. So much so that the site Topito comes from the place 2nd rank of the ugliest places in France.
In the standings, the Forum des Arènes ahead of Place Bellecour in Lyon and behind Place Raoul-Dautry located in Paris at the foot of the Montparnasse tower. To qualify the Toulouse place, Topito does not go there with the back of the spoon: “You can find on this charming square a high school, a metro station and buildings. It’s the garbage festival, everything is ugly. The walls, the floor, the buildings… EVERYTHING. It’s so posed that it gives epileptic seizures. The landscape has been shredded, tortured, martyred to give this great purulent space. Satan lives here. Run away.“
And very honestly, we would very much like to claim that we do not agree, that the Fourm des Arènes also has its charm and its particularities… But this time, we’re having trouble figuring out what to say in our defense…
