LGV, future hospital… Castex on the move to Toulouse and Montauban this Monday
Jean Castex’s agenda is particularly busy this Monday, March 14. The Prime Minister makes a trip to the departments Haute-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne and Aude. He begins his visit at 9 a.m. in the prefecture, in Toulouse, where he signs the financing plan for the Grand Projet du Sud-Ouest with all the communities of the two regions.
Indeed, the ordinances, recording the creation of the local public establishment which finances this project, were drawn up in the Council of Ministers last week. This project “essential for the opening up of the South-West is materializing and its implementation schedule is accelerated”, specifies a press release from the prefecture of Occitanie.

The future Montauban hospital
The Prime Minister then goes to the Montauban hospital center where he will discuss with the medical and non-medical staff of the establishment before presenting the details of the project to build the new hospital.
Concrete translation of the commitments of the Government with the Ségur de la Santé, this future establishment expected by the inhabitants and the local elected officials of the territory must make it possible to welcome patients in better conditions and to improve the working conditions of the personnel”, specifies still the prefecture of Occitania.

A Republican lunch at Lafrancaise
Then the Prime Minister brought together several elected officials from the department to a “republican lunch” at Lafrancaise. This town of nearly 3,000 inhabitants benefits from the program “Small Towns of Tomorrow”. Launched in October 2020, its purpose is to revitalize 1,600 small French towns. It is a six-year program, from 2020 to 2026, with a budget of three billion euros.
Port infrastructure extension projects
Finally, the Prime Minister will go to Port-la-Nouvelle in Aude where he will be accompanied by Barbara Pompili, Minister for Ecological Transition. On this occasion, he will present the Port-la-Nouvelle port infrastructure extension projects as well as the follow-up to the public debate carried out to identify floating wind project areas in the Mediterranean.
