Singer Mary Spiteri Takes Jab On PN Supporters During Chris Fearne Rally
Popular singer Mary Spiteri came out on top of PN supporters when she was holding a rally for Health Minister Chris Fearne last night, and predicted that they would remain “crying” at the end of the election result.
A video uploaded to Facebook shows Spiteri gathering troops and urging those in attendance to vote for the PL on March 26.
“Let’s be Labor, who knows how much they will cry, forgotten. Sorry. (They [PN supporters] they will cry so much, poor thing), ”she says before singing the traditional PL anthem.
Spiteri is best known for representing Malta in the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing third with ‘Little Child’, and for her Oda ‘Freedom Day theme’ Theme 79. She is also known for its support of the Labor Party.
Political polls have shown that the Labor Party is on the verge of another major victory on March 26, but the predicted gap between the parties throughout the campaign has fluctuated.
Two surveys were published today, one by Vincent Marmara for The Torch. forecast a gap of 39,000 votes and one from MaltaToday placement the difference in 26,000 votes.
However, PL MEP and former Prime Minister Alfred Sant yesterday warned that a significant part of traditional PL supporters could boycott this election.
Do you think the gap between PL and PN will increase or decrease in the election?
