Gender equality: initiatives in Toulouse
As part of the month of gender equality, the Town Hall of Toulouse is organizing “Women’s Sport” on Sunday March 13, a day intended to promote the physical and sporting practice of women. This day is open to young people, adults, seniors and people with disabilities. It allows everyone to test a multitude of sporting and recreational activities offered by clubs and associations free of charge.
In the program
Activities to discover: rowing and rowing, gentle gymnastics, qi gong, tai-chi-chuan, yoga, muscle strengthening, cross training, table tennis, Basque pelota, dance, body expression, kinomichi, judo, rugby, taichindo, fencing , Nordic walking, fitness, orientation courses, boxing, handball… Appropriate clothing for physical and sporting activities and a bottle of water are recommended. Many activities are open to young children from 6 years old, seniors and people with health problems. Among the disabled sports offer: Qi Gong, introduction to sports or artistic fencing…
As part of the month dedicated to gender equality, other actions will be undertaken in cultural centers
On Wednesday March 16, we will be able to attend “Piège-moi” (dance performance): a totally improvised choreographic challenge, at the initiative of the spectators, Center culturel – Théâtre des Mazades. Friday, March 18, “Eclats de femmes” we will show them as women, mothers, companions, friends, neighbours… Workshops, photo studio, concert and shared meals on the program, at the Brique Rouge cultural center.
Wednesday, March 23, screening of the film “Radioactive”, by Marjane Satrapi, on Marie Curie, at the Bonnefoy cultural center.
