Toulouse: bikers angry at the ZFE block traffic on the ring road this afternoon
Major disruptions are currently underway on the Toulouse ring road this Saturday afternoon March 12. The bikers of “Templars on the road” and the Federation of bikers of France, angry against the ZFE, block traffic.
The demonstration started at 2 p.m., this Saturday, March 12, with a snail operation which should be even more embarrassing than in November 2021, according to the organizers. Bikers from “Templars on the road” and the Fédération des motards de France are currently blocking the Toulouse ring road to obtain their exemption from the Low Emission Zone (ZFE).
Currently, traffic is very disrupted between the La Cépière exit and Ponts-Jumeaux, in a south – north direction.
“We represent only 1% of the traffic”
“Many bikers will not be able to afford to change vehicles. We represent 1% of traffic, and we participate in its fluidification, since we do not cause traffic jams”, had argued Johnny, of “Templars on the road” in our columns this Wednesday. The biker, a fan of mechanics and “customized” motorcycles, fears the pure and simple disappearance of this passion for mechanics, with the obligation to ride with new or electric motorcycles, in the ZFE.
