Whether Oberland or Unterland, Innsbruck area, Osttirol or the Ausserfern: The European future of the regions is the focus of the series of events EU Future dialogue Tyrol, which is part of EU-Future conference is. After the kick-off event for the Innsbruck region in November of the year, the online events for the four regions of Tyrol will now start at the end of March. What digital transformation do we need? How can municipalities, states, the federal government and the European Union counteract climate change? What does it take to sustainably promote and strengthen agriculture in the regions and in Europe? These and many other questions will be addressed. Exchange ideas in an exciting dialogue format EU-Interested people and politicians EU-, federal, state and municipal policy and jointly develop concrete proposals for the various levels of action. Registrations are possible from now until one day before the online event via www.tirol.gv.at/zukunftsdialog. People who register by March 22 will receive a welcome package in advance.
Flagship project in Tyrol
“The EU The Future Dialogue Tyrol is a special opportunity to talk to people from the different Tyrolean regions EU It is important to talk to experts and to contribute your own ideas, opinions and visions about Tyrol and the European Union. I invite you to take part and have a say – it is essential for a democracy that citizens not only contribute their views and proposals for solutions in the form of elections, but also in the context of citizen participation processes,” emphasizes LH Gunther Teller and refers to the first success of the series of events: Austria is expected to participate with 164 projects as part of the European future platform. From this, 19 projects were defined as official “flagships” – i.e. showcase projects. The kick-off event of EU Future dialogues Tyrol in Innsbruck in November 2021 is one of them. It was developed in cooperation with the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) accomplished.

The results of the events are publicly available at https://futureeu.europa.eu submitted and discussed online. “The project EU Dialogue on the future of Tyrol is part of a larger whole,” emphasizes the President of the State Parliament Sonja Ledl-Rossmann. A total of around 60,000 citizens have already taken part in the future dialogue as part of the European online events. As a result, more than 17,000 proposals for the further development of the European Union are already wired. “With the conference on the future of Europe, people in Europe – and therefore also us in Tyrol – have the opportunity to actively participate and make suggestions. Many minds create many new ideas and impulses. This is important in order to continue to develop, as does the European Union. To that end, interested parties are all called upon to get involved and participate in this series of events.” LTPin Ledl-Rossmann.

Why?
On July 7, 2021, the Tyrolean state parliament confirmed its desire to start the European discussion process on the future of the EU to support with numerous events also in Tyrol. The intention was to make the conference on the future of Europe and its concerns and topics known in all districts of Tyrol and to make it as easily accessible as possible.
