The end of winter is particularly complicated for the two leading indoor sports clubs. Caen (Calvados). Friday March 11, 2022, Caen BC and Caen HB both experienced the throes of defeat.
False start for the CBC
For the 1ʳᵉ day of the second phase of the N1 championship, the CBC basketball players moved to Rueil, with whom they were tied in the standings. The defeat in the Paris region (79-76) is therefore a bad operation for the men of Fabrice Courcier, who now turns out to be 3 wins for six losses. Obligatory victory, Tuesday March 15 at the Palais des sports, on the occasion of the reception of La Rochelle, last of the group.
Three straight losses for the Vikings
The Vikings of Caen HB, for their part, went to Valence, a low-ranking team which remained on two consecutive successes. As against Pontault-Combaut, during the last day (28 – 36), it was open door operation in the Caen defense. Roch Bedos players conceded a whopping 43 goals, for a heavy defeat in the end (43-35), the third in a row.
The Vikings now have 15 days ahead of them to get their heads back in place, before the reception of the impressive leader Ivry (Friday March 25, at the Palais des sports).
