Due to the war in Ukraine, the accessibility of the IJmond doesn’t even affect me much at the moment | column Joris Brussels
IJmond
The war in Ukraine. Including bombing a children’s hospital. With evacuations where people without Ukrainian separation are refused at the border crossing. Making it painfully clear that this war also has discrimination under the skin.
And then we have the immense gas and petrol prices. You would almost forget that we are going to vote for the city council next Wednesday. And that that is a privilege. I don’t spend much time looking forward to the last one. So despite the mountain of election flyers including many duplicates (good for the environment, yes), the campaign violence is not entering my bubble well.
flight
Of course I do read the news, but the accessibility of the IJmond, for example, does little for me at the moment. Certainly if there are entire tribes within a hundred kilometers from us on the few flights.
Although as a columnist you are allowed to give color to your article, I find outspoken advertising for a political party a bit too easy. In addition, not only is my column subjective, but also your opinion and political preference.
Still, it takes me a lot of effort not to speak out about a party that is participating in these elections in Velt and Beverwijk. I am left (and voting) and for equality. So the fact that I have little interest in Forum for Democracy (FvD) will not diminish anyone. But I certainly must; if there was a municipal portfolio for provocation, I would give it directly to a member of the local FvD.
middle finger
I read about an election debate in Beverwijk. Where party leader Mark Nijman of the FvD reacted to a statement about the future of the Beverwijk Welfare Foundation with: „No more scaling. We want a world that goes back to the nuclear family, the local community.” As a result, an enraged visitor left the room with a raised middle finger. Outraged by the fact that Nijman was using the word ‘nuclear’.
I have to be honest that I myself also read quite a bit from my file of Nijman. Even before I had arrived at the reaction of the road present. Of course, that’s exactly what this local politician will provoke. But that doesn’t make it any less retarded.
I wish everyone voting elections in which everyone can vote and raise their middle finger to the Forum for Democracy with their heads held high.
